Sustainability Tracking Assessment & Rating System

Royal Roads University is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE).  The association has developed STARS® (Sustainability Tracking Assessment & Rating System) a self-reporting framework for colleges and universities to guage their progress toward sustainability. STARS was launched in January 2010, and RRU is a charter participant.

The Office of Sustainability sponsored a student project in the BSc in Environmental Science to conduct the first STARS review.  RRU was the first Canadian insitution to submit its report and has achieved a silver rating.
