RRU is located in the Green Learning City, Colwood, and has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the city. The MOU serves as the basis for collaboration in a number of areas including research and innovation, district energy, and green learning. |

The Child and Nature Alliance was registered in March 2009 and officially launched at the Get Outside! It's in Our Nature forum at RRU. |

| Climate Action West Shore (CAWS) was established with a mandate to advance local arts, culture and sustainable community development on the West Shore.
