goBEYOND Carbon-Neutral

goBEYOND is a grassroots project that was developed by the BC Campus Climate Network.  As a “youth led” project, goBEYOND works to educate, inspire, engage and support students in taking climate action at British Columbia's colleges and universities.  It is their belief that campuses can goBEYOND climate-neutral by taking responsibility for social and ecological impacts while taking the opportunity to create climate change solutions for our communities.

Jordan Kummerfield is goBEYOND's Community Organizer and a Royal Roads University graduate from the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science program.  His position works out of the RRU Office of Sustainability one day a week. The primary role of the Community Organizer is to support campus sustainability groups, as well as to inspire students in becoming involved in climate action and sustainability initiatives within the greater Victoria community.

Jordan will be working with student groups from Royal Roads University, University of Victoria, and Camosun College in the "Ready Set Solve" CRD Student Climate Challenge contest.  Additional information can also be found at Sustainable U.

goBEYOND at RRU is funded by the Capital Regional District and BC Hydro.  goBEYOND is also present at many university and college campuses across BC.

For more information about goBEYOND or the "Ready, Set, Solve" contest, please contact Jordan at jordan@campusclimatenetwork.org.
